The Tonganoxie Chieftains USSSA baseball team defeated Santa Fe Trail twice on June 19 in Carbondale.

The Chieftains won the first game, 5-2, and the second game, 7-3. They moved to 9-7 on the season.

Lance Lamborn pitched a complete game in game one for Tonganoxie. He gave up eight hits, two earned runs, two walks and struck out four.

The Tonganoxie Post 41 American Legion team dropped two games to the Leavenworth Knights, 11-1 and 15-0, on Thursday at Padilla Field in Leavenworth.

Post 41 then traveled to Lansing on Sunday and split a doubleheader.

Chris Newton pitched two complete games and struck out 10 Lansing batters total.

Post 41 lost two games to Geiger, 9-2 and 18-8, Monday at Padilla Field. Kevin Stewart went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI in game two.
