McLouth schools to close early

The McLouth School District will be canceling school early today. The McLouth High School, Elementary School and Middle School will close at 1 p.m. this afternoon.
Jean Rush, superintendent, said impending inclement weather and declining temperatures were contributing factors to the early dismissal.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Leavenworth and surrounding counties.
The weather service forecasts snow accumulations of 6 to 9 inches. The snowfall will increase with intensity as the evening moves along and will continue overnight.
