There will be an Ash Wednesday service at 7 p.m. today at Jarbalo United Methodist Church. On Sunday, United Methodist Women will be selling love ribbons at the church.
Diane Murry and sisters Jeanne Thornton and Sharon Pickens and their father, Gene Forshee, flew Jan. 25 to Columbus, Texas, for a surprise party for their sister and daughter, Debbie Swallow, who turned 50.
Orville and Rosie Oelschlaeger recently visited Gary and Linda Blanton in rural Highland.
Recent visitors at Orville and Rosie’s home were John and Janice Oelschlaeger, Erin and Amy.
Julia Carter and Shianne were overnight guests of Thamar Barnett on Jan. 29.
