A memorial service for William Washington Jr. was held Tuesday, March 4 at Cornerstone Family Worship in Tonganoxie. Burial will take place in his hometown of Jackson, Miss., on Saturday March 8.
Mr. Washington died from injuries sustained from a vehicle accident Thursday Feb. 28, 2008.
He was born Sept 9, 1970 in Jackson, Miss., the son of William and Dorothy Washington.
He attended Alcorn State University in Larmon, Miss., where he studied criminal justice. He loved playing basketball, football, riding motorcycles and fishing.
Mr. Washington married his wife Marcella on Dec. 25, 1993. She survives of the home.
Survivors include his two daughters, Maria and Rachael, Tonganoxie; his son Kaleb Sanford, Jackson, Miss.; his mother, Dorothy Washington, Jackson, Miss.; his brother Christopher Washington, Jackson, Miss; his sister Tiffany Brown of St. Louis Park, Minn.
