Mirrel Edman Blauvelt 1921 - 2008 Bonner Springs
Mirrel Edman Blauvelt, 87, Bonner Springs, died early Friday morning. Mr. Blauvelt was born to Theresa Mae Shrock and Mirrel Hudson Blauvelt on February 9, 1921 in Kansas City, Mo. His late wife was Alma Frances Rose Blauvelt. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 26 years.
He is survived by seven of nine children: Lucille M. Garst, Edmond R. Blauvelt, Betty L. Ray, Don M. Blauvelt, Henry H. Blauvelt, Bonnie J. Morgan, and Judy K. Karnowski. They are preceded by Frances L. Blauvelt and Beverly A. Ross. They leave 30 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
Services were 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 10 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel. Burial will follow at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens. The family suggests everyone spend some special time with their own families in memory of Mr. Blauvelt.
