The Petty team prepared last week to load a racecar in the "Richard Be Petty" semitrailer at Kansas Speedway. A press conference to announce the Petty partnership with the Speedway was postponed one week because of a Kansas City snowfall, and the driver of this truck predicted that the truck's departure would be postponed for several days because its wheels were frozen in ice.
