Lisa Marrs, Girl Scout, finally gets the courage to try out the zip line with the help of Susan Roberts, zip line assistant, and Janet Gripka, leader, Saturday at the Girl Scout day camp at Camp Tongawood. About 160 girls gathered for four days of activities at the Career Camp.

Howard Jones, Linwood, sprays several hundred grilling chicken halves with barbecue sauce Saturday at the annual Linwood Lions Club Chicken Barbecue. The club served 654 meals at its fund-raiser.
