Buckets full of grapes on the trailer in the photo above soon will be taken to the lower level of the winery. There, the grapes will be crushed and the juice started in the winemaking process.
Careful not to cut her fingers and oblivious to the leaf caught in her hair, Emma Holyfield,7, snips a bunch of grapes from a vine at Holy-Field Vineyard. Emma and her parents, Martin and Paula Holyfield, McLouth, were among the 50-some volunteer pickers at the vineyard on a recent Sunday morning.
