Nick Marel worked on a stone house for the Ted Davis family in the mid-1940s. The house is located just south of Tonganoxie on U.S. Highway 24-40.
Nick Marel lived in what was popularily known as "Tonganoxie's first recreational vehicle." He took his traveling home to various jobs where he worked as a stonemason.
