Tonganoxie firefighters Joe Peel, left, and Dave Bennett left on Saturday for the Gulf coast, where they will use their firefighting and paramedic expertise in providing aid to victims of Hurricane Katrina. Bennett, who is Tonganoxie's fire chief, said the Federal Emergency Management Agency put out a request for firefighting teams to help in the disaster-torn region.
