Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth Commander Lt. Gen. William Caldwell IV; Rep. Nancy Boyda, D-Kan.; Rep. Ike Skelton, D-Mo.; Rep. Chet Edwards, D-Texas; Garrison Commander Col. Tim Weathersbee; Col. Roger Wilson of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; and Garrison Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Michael Brainerd break ground for the new post chapel Monday morning at Kearney Field near Main Post Chapel at Fort Leavenworth. The new chapel will replace the St. Ignatius chapel, which burned down in December of 2001.
