Matt Eddy and his caretaker, Ron Steenbruggen, head south on 24-40 near Tonganoxie's city limits about midday on Wednesday. The two left Massachusetts on June 30 and are on their way to Long Beach, Calif. As they traverse the country, they are spreading the word about their nonprofit organization, Matt's Place.
